Ben Gillard was born in 1947, in Englee,a small community on the great northern peninsula of Newfoundland, Canada. He now resides and works in St. John's Newfoundland. Ben is a writer, poet, singer, musician and painter. He is a member of affiliations such as AANL, CARNAL (Provincial Associations), and CARFAC (National Art Association). He has won awards from the Arts Council of Canada. His paintings are in many areas of the world, namely Canada, USA, Europe, South America, Australia, and the Far East. Ben is planning a one-man show in St. John's, Newfoundland, in the near future.
