Claudia Dobson was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia. She now resides in Glovertown with her husband and son. This self-taught artist began painting in the 1970's and does so in a variety of media. She enjoys painting nature and special memories of her life.

Fine art has had a strong influence in Claudia's life. She is co-founder of d'Art Club in Glovertown. In 1980, Claudia won a first place award at "The Cape Breton Exhibition" and in 1984 participated in an art exhibit at the Gander Arts and Culture Centre.
